This object combines the material languages of exercise equipment (an aerobics step), disability aids and domestic furniture (a bath mat). This is part of a body of research that explores sculpture as a tool for teaching or ‘training’, and how to train for softer, interdependent (rather than ‘hard’ and autonomous) bodies.
