Voicing the Silence is an exhibition project addressing issues of gender equality in the home, on the legislative level, and in professional spheres such as the field of art. The curators draw inspiration from the book The Social Basis of the Women's Question (1909) by influential Soviet feminist and politician Alexandra Kollontai, who proffered systemic solutions for women's economic and political independence based on gender equality.

Voicing the Silence is an apexart International Open Call exhibition. apexart is a non-profit arts organization in New York City founded in 1994, challenging ideas about culture and art through exhibitions, fellowships, publications, and Open Calls that annually engage 2,000+ submitters and jurors from 65+ countries. In 2020-2021 TOK was one of the four apexart international Open Call winners among 400 applicants from 76 countries. Voicing the Silence is the first apexart exhibition in Russia.
